Borden, Florence Wilcox Borden, baby in her lap is Perry Smith Durant, The rest are unknown Bottom row starting at far right: Perry Alfred Durant. the rest are unknown. The women may be Florence Wilcox Borden's daughters, Ona, Lottie, Lora, Pauline, Christina. Small children may be grandaughters of Florence Wilcox Borden. Elder woman in the back row may be Catharine Hodge Borden. (Decker T.'s mother) Perry Alfred Durant was born in California and lists his father's birthplace as France. Thanks to Ann Tower for this work - I think that these two pictures were taken at almost the same time. I was thinking the beach picture might have been taken in Santa Cruz. I'm pretty sure the people on the beach are Erna and Peter Plotz on the left and Antonie, Adam and Evelyn Mallon in front. They look like some of the same folks in the Degner picture... I think the toddler is even wearing the same clothes, as are Erna (plus an apron), Peter and Adam. I think the Degners are a good possibility for the rest of the people in the second picture. The cheerful lady on the left looks a lot like Erna, she could be Meta. (I've never seen any pictures of Meta.) If the picture was taken around 1924, possibly in Santa Cruz, the Degners might have come out for a visit with Pete and Erna? The older Degner children would have been too old for this picture if it was taken around 1924, but the younger two would be a good fit--Doris, age 13 and Forrest, age 10. I think that could be Frankie on the far right. I'm guessing that the man on the far left is Louis Degner--I wonder who the man in the middle with the beard might be?
